Scrum MasterLocation: Grand Rapids, MI (Hybrid)We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join a high-performing technology team supporting retail and eCommerce platforms. This is a 12-month contract, hybrid role based in Grand Rapids. The ideal candidate brings strong Agile leadership experience, the ability to coach teams to high performance, and a background delivering technology solutions in retail or digital commerce environments.Role OverviewThe Scrum Master is responsible for driving Agile delivery, enabling team effectiveness, and ensuring the successful delivery of working software. You will facilitate core Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, manage project risks and status reporting, and support production releases to ensure smooth and timely deployments. This role blends servant leadership with traditional project management responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesCoach and guide Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software and meet sprint commitmentsFacilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectivesPartner with Product Owners to translate requirements into actionable workTrack progress, manage risks/issues, and report project status to stakeholdersRemove blockers and resolve team conflicts to maintain productivitySupport SAFe / scaled agile practices and ensure teams follow Agile standardsCoordinate release planning and production deploymentsBalance business and technical priorities in collaboration with product and engineering teamsPromote continuous improvement and guard against technical debtLimit external disruptions so teams can stay focused on deliveryRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field5+ years of overall IT experience3+ years of hands-on Scrum Master experienceExperience supporting retail or eCommerce technology platformsStrong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery practicesExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skillsPreferred ExperienceBackground in inventory, order management, or digital commerce systemsExperience with application development and integration teamsFamiliarity with Node.js, Java, Cassandra, Kafka environmentsSAFe certification (SSM, SASM, SA, SPC, or SPMPO)PMP, CSM, or other Agile certificationsProficiency with MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word; ServiceNow a plusEqual Employment OpportunityEight Eleven Group provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
