Counsel - Digital Antipiracy

Trustpoint is excited to partner with a leading global media and entertainment organization in its search for a Digital Antipiracy Counsel to support online enforcement and anti-piracy initiatives on a long-term contract basis. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of intellectual property, technology, and digital media, with exposure to high-impact enforcement strategies and cross-functional collaboration.Responsibilities:Assist with online enforcement initiatives, including website infringements, social media issues, and domain name recoverySupport the development and execution of digital media enforcement strategiesConduct and support online investigations into piracy incidents and users, partnering with internal teams and external investigative servicesConfirm rights in selected works and contribute to enforcement matters from initial investigation through resolutionDraft, review, and negotiate vendor agreements and amendments, and advise internal stakeholders on contractual termsCollaborate with internal business teams, legal and technology vendors, outside counsel, and industry partnersMonitor and participate in industry groups focused on anti-piracy effortsStay current on evolving legal, policy, and technology developments related to intellectual property and digital enforcementManage multiple high-priority projects with strong attention to detail, organization, and efficiencyQualifications:JD or equivalent from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the California State Bar in good standing, or eligibility to register as In-House Counsel5+ years of experience in a law firm or a combination of law firm and in-house environmentsExperience handling intellectual property matters, including anti-piracy enforcement and licensingStrong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skillsExperience with online enforcement strategies and distribution or licensing agreements preferredFamiliarity with international intellectual property frameworks preferredSchedule:Hybrid schedule: Monday through Thursday in office, Friday remoteDuration & Compensation:Special project expected to start in June and run through February 2027Pay rate of $90-$100/hour, commensurate with experienceThis is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge digital enforcement work within a collaborative, fast-paced environment supporting a globally recognized brand.Trustpoint.One provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
