We're seeking a Senior Account Manager.About the Role:A Senior Account Manager in a global manufacturer of automotive parts plays a critical role in managing key client accounts and driving business growth. This role drives drive revenue growth & profitability, fostering client relationships, and ensuring the company's competitiveness in the market. They combine strong leadership, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills to achieve business objectives and deliver value to both clients and the organization.Responsibilities:Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, which may include automotive manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall client satisfaction. Understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and requirements to provide tailored solutions and support.Account Management: Oversee all aspects of client accounts, including commercial management, contract negotiation, pricing, and order management. Develop and implement strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. Monitor account performance, track sales metrics, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling products and services.Business Development: Identify new business opportunities within existing client accounts and actively pursue new clients to expand the company's customer base. Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and stay informed about competitors to identify potential areas for growth.Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative solutions and value propositions to address client needs and differentiate the company from competitors.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as sales, marketing, engineering, and production to ensure alignment between client requirements and company capabilities. Coordinate with product development teams to introduce new products or features that meet client needs and market demands. Address quality concerns, logistics issues, or other challenges by collaborating with relevant stakeholders to find solutions.Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute strategic account plans that align with overall business objectives and revenue targets. Set performance goals, track progress, and report on key metrics to senior management. Continuously assess market dynamics, client needs, and competitive landscape to adjust strategies and tactics as needed.Customer Recoveries: Execute recovery of tariffs and other economic impacts such as labor increases/overhead rates/loss volume/program cancellations etc.Customer Advocacy: Act as a strong advocate for customer within the organization, ensuring their needs are understood and prioritized. Champion customer-centric initiatives and advocate for enhancements or improvements to products, services, or processes based on client feedback.Job Qualifications:Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, engineering, or a related field is typically required. Preference for candidates with a degree specifically related to the automotive industry.Sales and Account Management Experience: Candidates should have 10+ of experience in sales and account management, preferably in the automotive industry or a related field.Industry Knowledge: Experience working in the automotive parts manufacturing sector is highly valued. Candidates should have a deep understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and market trends.Proven Track Record: Successful candidates should have a proven track record of building and managing key client accounts, achieving sales targets, and driving revenue growth.Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, where the candidate demonstrated the ability to lead and mentor a team, can be beneficial for senior-level positions.Strategic Thinking: needs to have strong strategic thinking skills to develop and execute comprehensive account plans that align with overall business objectives.Relationship Building: The ability to build and nurture long-term relationships with clients is crucial. Should be adept at understanding client needs, identifying opportunities for value creation, and delivering exceptional customer service.Negotiation Skills: Negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with clients is a key aspect of the role. Should be skilled negotiators capable of securing favorable deals while maintaining positive relationships.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with clients, presenting proposals, and collaborating with internal teams.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are necessary for evaluating market trends, assessing account performance, and identifying growth opportunities.Problem-Solving: adept problem solvers, capable of addressing client concerns or issues efficiently and collaborating with internal teams to find solutions.Working Conditions:Office Environment: typically work in an office setting, spend a significant portion of their time on the phone or in meetings.Travel: frequently to visit clients, attend industry events, or participate in sales meetings. Travel requirements can vary widely, ranging from occasional trips within the region to extensive international travel.Flexible Schedule: Requires a flexible schedule, especially if they need to accommodate different time zones when communicating with global clients. They may need to work outside of regular office hours to accommodate client meetings or deadlines, particularly if they are working with clients in different time zones.Current work schedule is 4 days a week and Friday work remotely.Pressure to Meet Targets: responsible for meeting sales targets, revenue goals, and other performance metrics. This can create pressure to perform and may require them to be proactive in identifying new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.Dynamic Industry: The automotive manufacturing industry is dynamic and constantly evolving, with changes in technology, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
