Our team of expert Master Electricians deliver turnkey solutions with exceptional craftsmanship, industry-leading warranties, and a commitment to sustainability (we plant a tree with every installation through our partnership with One Tree Planted)We're growing rapidly as the EV rEVolution accelerates and are looking for a seasoned leader to step into a critical Operations Director role.The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Operations Director(with strong electrical contracting expertise) to lead our field operations, manage installations, and support our network of Master Electricians nationwide. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for ensuring high-quality, efficient, and safe EV charging installations for both residential and commercial projects while scaling our operations.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all electrical installations, including residential, commercial, and service work.Manage scheduling, logistics, ordering, planning, coordination, site preparation, and reporting.Lead, mentor, and grow a team of electricians (currently including Journeyman and Apprentices), both union and non-union (double breasted shop) while providing technical guidance and support to our network of 100+ Master Electricians across the country.Handle day-to-day operations, problem-solving, and quality control for EV charger installations (85% Level 2 and 15% DCFC).Coordinate with sales, project management, and other teams to deliver seamless turnkey projects.Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures.Support continuous improvement in processes, efficiency, and scalability as we expand.Requirements & QualificationsMinimum 20 years of electrical experience strongly recommended, with proven leadership in electrical contracting (residential, commercial & servicing)Master Electrician license(or the ability to obtain reciprocity where needed) is highly preferred.Extensive background in managing teams, scheduling, logistics, and multi-site operations.Deep knowledge of electrical systems, EV charging equipment (various manufacturers), permitting/inspections, trenching, and commissioning.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Minor ability to travel as needed to support national operations.Passion for the EV industry and sustainable transportation is a big plus.What We OfferCompetitive starting salary of $95,000 - $100,000 annually, based on experience.Bi-weekly pay periods.Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) plan.Three weeks of annual paid time off (PTO)Opportunity to join a mission-driven company at the forefront of the electric vehicle rEVolution.Professional growth in a fast-growing industry.Smart Charge America values diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment where EVeryone feels respected, supported, and valued.How to ApplyIf you're a results-oriented leader with deep electrical expertise and want to help power the future of transportation, we want to hear from you!Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relEVant experience.Smart Charge America - Making the transition to electric vehicles easy.
