Legal Software Application Specialist & Trainer (Hybrid | Seattle)A nationally recognized, Pacific Northwest-based law firm is seeking a dynamic and highly technical Legal Software Applications Trainer to join its Seattle team. This role requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting legal technology and training in a professional services environment.This is a hybrid position, with onsite presence required two days per week, along with additional in-office time for new hire onboarding and other business-critical needs.About the RoleThe Legal Software Applications Trainer acts as a critical bridge between legal professionals and technology. This individual will design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs for attorneys and staff while supporting the adoption and effective use of legal software across the firm.In addition to training responsibilities, this role provides hands-on support, troubleshooting, and end-user assistance"”particularly for specialized legal applications"”to ensure optimal system performance and user adoption. To support continuity and long-term success, there will be an opportunity to learn specialized applications directly from a senior subject-matter expert prior to their planned retirement. This position works under the guidance of the IT ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Development: Create, maintain, and continuously improve training materials, user guides, and on-demand tutorials in collaboration with internal stakeholders and application consultants.Training Delivery: Lead in-person, virtual, and hybrid training sessions for new hires and provide ongoing professional development for attorneys and staff.AI Enablement: Train users on approved AI-powered tools and workflows to enhance productivity.End-User Support: Provide application support and troubleshooting, including root-cause analysis and issue resolution.Technology Adoption: Partner with practice groups to understand workflow needs, promote best practices, and support approved technology implementations.Document Production Support: Assist legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys with document workflows, templates, and application-related troubleshooting.Vendor Engagement: Work with software vendors for support, training resources, and evaluation of upgrades, under IT Manager guidance.Product Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to legal software providers to support continuous product improvement.QualificationsExperience: 5+ years of experience in legal technology training, applications support, or legal technology consulting.Technical Skills: Strong ability to design and deliver effective training programs; familiarity with server-based applications and web technologies is a plus.AI Proficiency: Demonstrated working knowledge of AI-powered tools and platforms.Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a user-focused mindset.Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; law firm or legal industry experience is highly desirable.Communication: Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.Key Software Applications360 Office SuiteNetDocuments (DMS)Best AuthorityJuraLawDocuSignBigHand CreatePower PDFAdobe SuiteMicrosoft TeamsZoomMicrosoft CopilotOur specialized recruiting professionals apply their expertise and utilize our proprietary AI to find you great job that matches faster.
