Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: Roswell, GA (On-site)About Earthly Dynamics CorporationEarthly Dynamics Corporation (EDC) is a fast-growing aerospace R&D company based in Roswell, Georgia, developing next-generation autonomous control technologies for unmanned aircraft and guided-airdrop systems.Position SummaryWe're looking for a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and prototyping of mechanical subsystems for our aerial platforms. You'll take concepts from early CAD models all the way through flight-test validation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead design conceptualization and 3D CAD design (SolidWorks or Creo) of airframes, interfaces, and mechatronic subassembliesPerform structural analysis and FEA (Solidworks FEA) to validate load cases and optimize designsSelect materials and manufacturing methods (composites, sheet metal, additive) with DFM/DFT in mindBuild and test prototypes in our machine shop; troubleshoot and iterate rapidlyInterface with suppliers for components and tooling; manage vendor communicationsCollaborate closely with controls and avionics teams to integrate mechanical and electrical systemsSupport ground and flight test campaigns, including data collection and failure analysisRequired QualificationsBS in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)3+ years of mechanical design experience"”ideally in aerospace or defense environmentsProficiency in CAD (SolidWorks/Creo) and FEA tools (ANSYS/NASTRAN)Strong grasp of GD&T, material properties, and manufacturing processesProven track record of taking hardware through prototype, test, and flightUS Citizen or Green Card holder (ITAR-controlled work)Bonus (but not required)Prior work on UAVs or guided airdrop systemsActive or eligible for Department of Defense security clearanceWhat We OfferCompetitive salary + performance bonusComprehensive health (medical, dental, vision) insurance401(k) with company matchGenerous PTO and holiday scheduleProfessional development stipend and continual learning environmentHow to ApplyEmail your resume and a brief cover letter to recruiter@ with the subject line "Mechanical Design Engineer"
