About the RoleWorking under the supervision of the Sr. Director of National Fleet Sales and the direction of the Inside Sales Team Lead, the Inside Sales team is responsible for contacting and working with potential fleet customers.The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of the trucking industry, sales experience, and the ability to create and work with databases and Excel. As this is an inside sales position, the individual must be comfortable with spending significant time on the telephone and making unsolicited calls to potential customers.About the CompanyFounded in 1984, Road Ranger has grown from a small Rockford convenience-store chain into one of America's leading travel center brands. Road Ranger isn't just a stop along the way; it's a destination built around the needs of the modern traveler.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for daily cold calls to customers.Promote and market the Company Fleet program to attract and retain fleet customers.Responsible for following up with customers to obtain contracts and provide additional information.Provide support for existing customers.Field customer calls, resolve issues, and forward to appropriate salesperson as necessary.Assist with the update of customer information in databases.Provide a culture of customer satisfaction with new and existing customers.QualificationsStrong relationship building and business development skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.Excellent customer service and listening skills.High energy and resourcefulness.Driven to accomplish goals and objectives.Clear, common-sense thinker with critical reasoning skills.Able to obtain information, evaluate alternatives, seek advice, make recommendations, and take action.Preferred SkillsSome knowledge of the trucking industry, sales experience, and the ability to create and work with databases and Excel.Fluency in Spanish or at least one Eastern European language is highly desired.Equal Opportunity StatementWe are committed to diversity and inclusivity.
