This role sits within a high-tech support environment that manages non-retail hardware across multiple platforms, including Windows and macOS devices.This is an on-site position supporting a fast-paced, service-oriented environment where attention to detail, adaptability, and strong communication skills are critical to success.Job DescriptionThe IT Hardware Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for fulfilling hardware deployment and recovery requests for corporate users. This includes managing inventory, fulfilling orders, configuring devices, and supporting break/fix operations. The role requires flexibility to handle varying priorities on a day-to-day basis while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesFulfill hardware requests including picking, packing, shipping, and tracking devicesStock and organize inventory while maintaining accurate inventory recordsPerform inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reportingConfigure hardware, including firmware updates and system preparationTroubleshoot and perform basic break/fix repairs across multiple platformsEnsure accurate execution of established processes and documentationBuild strong relationships with internal business users and provide clear communicationMaintain high attention to detail in all inventory and fulfillment activitiesTime Allocation (approximate):60% hardware fulfillment (picking, packing, shipping)15% inventory tracking and reconciliation15% device configuration and firmware updates10% break/fix operationsSchedule & Work Environment:1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMFully on-site role primarily based in Minneapolis, MN, with occasional work in Brooklyn Park, MNQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Certifications for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro (13-inch, 14-inch, 15-inch, 16-inch models) or Dell Client Foundations CertificationAbility to lift and move items weighing 25+ pounds and maneuver palletsExperience working with inventory systems and warehouse operationsExposure to IT hardware deployment, configuration, or break/fix environmentsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in execution of processesAbility to work independently with limited supervision in a collaborative environmentComfort working in ambiguous or evolving situationsPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience supporting hardware across Windows and macOS platformsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPositive attitude and strong work ethicAbility to build effective business relationships with internal stakeholdersBenefitsDahl Consulting is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees that will allow you to choose the best coverage to meet your family's needs.
