Solutions Engineer

Position: Solutions Engineer (API Support) In office 5 days a week in South End Charlotte, NC As a Solutions Engineer at AI company you will play a pivotal role in shaping how enterprises, partners, and prospects adopt and integrate our advanced mapping and mobility solutions. Working closely with the Sales team, you'll serve as a trusted technical advisor "” helping organizations design, demonstrate, and deploy innovative solutions that leverage the full capabilities of the company platform. We're looking for a professional with strong expertise in maps, routing, and mobility systems, and the ability to connect technical depth with real-world business impact. Key Responsibilities ? Partner with Sales: Collaborate with account executives to guide prospects through the sales cycle by providing expert technical consultation, architectural guidance, and proof-of-concept support. ? Engage Prospects and Partners: Work directly with prospective customers, partners, and system integrators across North and Latin America to identify business challenges and design tailored solutions using the .ai stack. ? Solution Design & Communication: Translate complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions. Communicate these clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. ? Enablement & Training: Lead product demonstrations, webinars, and technical workshops to enable sales teams, partners, and customer stakeholders. ? RFI/RFP Support: Partner with Sales to prepare detailed and compelling technical responses to RFIs and RFPs. ? Voice of the Market: Provide continuous feedback from prospects, partners, and customers to influence product enhancements and roadmap priorities. ? Handoff to Success Teams: Support seamless onboarding and transition of newly signed customers into the post-sales process. ? Travel: Occasional travel for customer, partner, or industry meetings may be required. Qualifications ? Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. ? 8+ years of experience in technical consulting, solutions engineering, software development or product management. ? Strong proficiency with modern development languages and frameworks (e.g. JavaScript, Node.js, Python, React, Angular, Rust, Go). ? Experience in mobile app development (Android, iOS, and/or Flutter) and SDK integration. ? In-depth understanding of RESTful API design and service implementation. ? Familiarity with commercial and open-source mapping data and platforms such as HERE, TomTom, or OpenStreetMap, and supporting toolchains. ? Experience deploying or integrating solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. ? Comfortable working with Git-based version control, and issue-tracking systems such as GitHub/GitLab, JIRA, or ClickUp. Preferred Experience ? Domain experience in mobility, logistics, fleet management, last-mile delivery, or connected vehicle services. ? Exposure to data science, analytics, or machine learning projects.
