Job Title: Network AnalystJob Duration: 6 months contract - possibility to extendLocation: Onsite - Minneapolis, MNJob Description:Collaborate in the architecture and design of networksEvaluate and recommend new technologies or application of technologies for the enterpriseInstall, maintain, configure, test, troubleshoot and resolve issues with networks and related equipment including routers, switches, firewallsSupport and administer the TCP/IP Ethernet networksAssist with software/hardware upgrades and distributionProvide technical tier 3 support to staff as neededProvide 24/7 support for networks including onsite response and troubleshootingProvide support to all network users and respond to calls and pages within one hour of receipt Mandatory Skills:Bachelor's or Associate's degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related fieldIn lieu of a degree, four years of experience providing technical support for TCP/IP Ethernet networks (with a minimum of 500 nodes in a Microsoft Windows environment) and experience configuring and installing routers, switches and firewalls.Excellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated skills in working effectively with others both individually and in groups to troubleshoot problems, create procedures and provide technical supportAbility to lift, carry and position up to 40 poundsValid state issued driver's licenseReliable to vehicle to commute between job sites Desired Skills:Cisco CCNA certificationMSE certification (network)Network+ certificationExperience with multicast routingExperience with large SCADA installations (building automation systems)Experience with IP telephonyExperience with large campus network design for resiliencyExperience with Cisco Nexus experienceGeneral Responsibilities:Collaborate in the architecture and design of networksEvaluate and recommend new technologies or application of technologies for the enterpriseInstall, maintain, configure, test, troubleshoot and resolve issues with networks and related equipment including routers, switches, firewallsSupport and administer the TCP/IP Ethernet networksAssist with software/hardware upgrades and distributionProvide technical tier 3 support to staff as neededThe projected hourly range for this position is $40-46/hr.On-Demand Group (ODG) provides employee benefits which includes healthcare, dental, and vision insurance.
