Base Salary: $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per yearOur client Mine Energy Solutions (MES) is an Australian based technology & engineering company, primarily focused on providing innovative decarbonization and energy solutions for the mining industry. They have a subsidiary in the USA which provide similar solutions to the oil & gas and mining industries.Role PurposeTo support the deployment of dual fuel solutions for diesel engines in North America (USA & Canada) and expansion into South America (Argentina, Peru)Act as a conduit and foster good communication between the MES Engine Development Team in Australia and the USA team; Distributors; and Customers - regarding products (large diesel engines) deployed in the field.To contribute as part of the Engine Development Team by providing technical leadership to other engineering team members, and providing coaching to the junior members of that team.QualificationsBachelors Degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electrical.5 -15 years work experience as an engineerDemonstrate advanced understanding of diesel combustion and associated control systemsExperience with J1939 CAN bus protocols and control systems - programming, diagnosis and problem solvingDemonstrated knowledge of engine software, calibration and programming experience (e.g. Motec), having worked with and calibrated enginesTroubleshooting and fault diagnosis, able to collect, interpret, identify problems and find solutions from the operational data history.Root cause failure analysis of engine shutdownsHigh attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.Advantageous to be bilingual (i.e. English and Spanish language skills)Key AttributesEffective communication in a clear, concise and professional mannerStrong decision-making and Time Management skills.Reliable and willing to share ideas and workshop with team members.Trustworthy, ethical, and committed to confidentiality.Promote positive workplace and team culture.This role is hybrid and the location is flexible but preferably candidates will need to be based near travel hubs e.g. Dallas/Denver as field support required in various locations; Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma. This firm currently has a factory/workshop in Hobbs New Mexico which is relocating to Denver in the near future.Travel to customer works within North America will be a regular requirement.Occasional international travel including to Australia, Europe, and South America may be required from time to time.The role reports to an Engineering Manager based in Brisbane Australia.
