Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team and lead the design and development of innovative electromechanical systems and manufacturing solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in machinery design, tooling development, and SolidWorks in a PDM-controlled environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical and electromechanical systems for production and manufacturing applicationsCreate detailed designs for tooling, dies, molds, jigs, and fixturesDevelop, validate, and improve machinery and mechanical systems related to energy transmission, controls, hydraulics, plastics, robotics, and manufacturing equipmentPerform concept development, prototyping, verification, and validation activitiesCollaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams to support product development and manufacturing transferRecommend technology and process improvements focused on safety, performance, efficiency, and cost reductionLead or support engineering projects from concept through implementationProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team membersWork independently with limited supervision while driving projects to completionRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME preferredMinimum 5 years of mechanical design engineering experienceStrong experience in:Electromechanical machinery designTooling, dies, molds, jigs, and fixture designSolidWorks CAD design environmentPDM (Product Data Management) systemsExperience supporting products from development through manufacturing implementationStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesPreferred ExperienceBackground in manufacturing or production engineering environmentsExperience with process improvement and design optimizationAbility to influence technical decisions and collaborate with senior stakeholdersWhat You'll BringDeep technical expertise combined with practical engineering judgmentAbility to solve complex engineering challenges independentlyStrong ownership mindset and attention to detailPassion for innovation, continuous improvement, and mentoring others
