Lead Production Manager (Packaging)Itzy Ritzy is looking for a highly organized and detail-driven Lead Production Manager to lead the end-to-end packaging process across a growing portfolio of products and major retail partners, including Target and Walmart. This role blends design expertise, AI optimization, production knowledge, and strong project management skills to ensure packaging is delivered accurately, efficiently, and at scale.This role will work alongside a Senior Designer as well as manage external freelancers to ensure seamless execution across all packaging initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the full packaging lifecycle from concept through production, including creating packaging solutions from specs, creating dielines, artwork execution, approvals, and final delivery.Incorporate AI tools to efficiently optimize the packaging lifecycle process, and continuously keep up to date with tools for continued refinement.Develop packaging solutions based on PD product specs, retail requirements, and brand standards.Recommend materials, print methods, and packaging solutions based on scalability, cost, and quality.Working alongside the Brand/Marketing team to align on a cohesive, omni-channel experience Create and prepare production-ready files with accuracy across dielines, mechanicals, and artwork.Manage multiple projects, timelines, and SKUs simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.Build and maintain production schedules, including mockups, sampling, and final production.Communicate directly with vendors and printers to align on specs, timelines, and quality standards.Review proofs and production samples to ensure accuracy in color, copy, barcodes, and layout.Troubleshoot technical issues related to files, print production, and vendor requirements.Oversee product photography for packaging as well as ensure all assets are optimized and consistent across the Digital Shelf (ecommerce, retailer listings, and marketing channels).Lead and support a Senior Designer and freelance resources, ensuring work is executed efficiently and to a high standard.Qualifications5-10+ years of experience in packaging design and production, preferably in consumer goods or retail-driven environments.Deep expertise in packaging production, dielines, and mechanical file setup.Strong knowledge of print processes (flexo, offset, digital), color management, and prepress.Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.Proven experience managing complex packaging programs across multiple SKUs and retail environments (Target or big-box experience strongly preferred).Exceptional attention to detail, especially in copy, barcodes, legal requirements, and layout accuracy.Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple timelines and vendors simultaneously.Clear, effective communicator with experience working cross-functionally and with external partners.Highly proactive problem solver with the ability to anticipate and resolve production challenges.What You BringA balance of creative and technical expertise.Industry knowledge about AI methods of efficiency and innovationA process-driven mindset with a passion for organization and efficiency.The ability to lead, manage, and elevate both internal and external team members.A commitment to delivering high-quality packaging at scale.If interested, please send cover letter and resume to sara.seal@About Itzy RitzyItzy Ritzy, founded in 2007, is a leading omni-channel brand offering innovative and stylish baby products for Millennial and Gen Z parents.
