Solution Architect - Automation & ConnectivityHouston, TX (Hybrid - 3 days onsite weekly)Contract through end of 2026 (expected to extend)We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect specializing in Automation & Connectivity to support large-scale enterprise infrastructure and network transformation initiatives within a complex global environment.This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in enterprise networking, cloud connectivity, infrastructure automation, and solution architecture who enjoys working across both strategic design and hands-on technical delivery.ResponsibilitiesServe as the lead Solution Architect across enterprise connectivity and automation initiativesDesign scalable, secure, and future-ready end-to-end infrastructure solutionsIntegrate business process, application, data, infrastructure, and security requirements into cohesive architecturesDrive architecture governance and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and best practicesReview and approve detailed technical designs produced by engineering and delivery teamsCollaborate with operations, engineering, security, procurement, and vendor teamsSupport architecture review processes and contribute to enterprise reference modelsChampion Security by Design and Privacy by Design principlesEnsure solutions are operationally supportable and optimized for long-term ownershipKey Technical RequirementsStrong experience in enterprise networking and connectivity architectureDeep knowledge of network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Hands-on experience with:AnsibleAPIs and workflow automationGitHub and CI/CD pipelinesSmart inventory / Source of Truth platforms such as NetBoxStrong cloud networking expertise across AWS and Azure, including:VPC/VNETVPNTransit GatewayVirtual firewall technologiesExperience with Cisco data center networking technologiesExperience with Aruba ESP solutions, including:Aruba CentralClearPassWireless platformsKnowledge of identity and authentication technologies:SAMLEntra IDPingIDRequired Experience7-10+ years of experience within IT infrastructure, networking, or architecturePrevious experience in Solution Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, or Network Architecture rolesStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience working within large enterprise or global environmentsAbility to communicate technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholdersExperience with vendor engagement, product selection, and solution evaluationPreferred BackgroundExperience within large-scale enterprise, energy, manufacturing, telecom, or highly regulated environments is highly desirable.If you are interested, please apply directly or reach out for a confidential discussion.
