With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Arcadis is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Designer to join our Semiconductor Sector. In this role, you will work under the direction of a supervising engineer and report to the Lead Engineer supporting Tool Install Projects. Experience with tool install design in the semiconductor industry is required. Proven success with facility and systems design for cleanrooms, laboratories, semiconductor fabs, data centers, solar manufacturing, petro-chemical, power generation, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries is highly desirable.Role accountabilities:Develop and interpret Loop sheets, Data Sheets, Instrument types/applications, PID algorithms, ISA Symbology, P&ID development, System Interlocks, and pneumatic instrumentation controls.Understand and implement PLC, DCS, Control Systems, SCADA, ethernet, serial, Modbus, and Fiber Optic communications.Utilize AutoCAD, MS Excel, and Word applications software.Work independently with supervision and demonstrate willingness to learn all aspects of Instrumentation and Controls Engineering.Coordinate with other disciplines for complete system integration, particularly on tool install projects in the semiconductor environment.Participate in team coordination activities with other disciplines, sub-contractors, and clients.Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by client safety policies.Other duties as assignedQualifications & Experience:High School diploma with a minimum of 4 years I&C technician experience, or a BS in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years employed as an I&C Engineer required.Demonstrated experience with tool install design in the semiconductor industry is required.Proficiency in basic PLC Programming, P&ID Development using AutoCAD, Instrument types/applications, ISA Symbology.Technical capabilities commensurate with I&C Technician duties.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Word.Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).Collaborative team player able to work across multiple software platforms and disciplines.Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required.
