Suntex Marinas is a company that invests exclusively in niche mixed-use marinas and their related operating platforms. We have acquired, developed, and operated over 95 full-service marinas which include retail spaces, office buildings, resorts, hotels, and restaurants.Position PurposeThe Financial Analyst (Property) leverages their understanding of technology and overall business acumen to assess how FP&A and operational reporting solutions can enable business priorities for both Finance and key operational leaders throughout the Suntex Marinas portfolio. This individual partners with senior business stakeholders on critical project to execute delivery of key technologies and proactively manage business demand. Success in this role requires an individual who works well in a fast-paced environment, can communicate effectively cross-departmentally, works well both independently and in team atmospheres, demonstrates proactive behaviors and is keenly self-aware of daily business activities, adapts to changing business needs and strategies, and presents positively to stakeholders, customers, peers, and management.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESBuild deep and trusted partnerships across the organization to help optimize and strategize around performance managementPartner with all segments of the Finance department and the organization's business leaders to facilitate the company's monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting processesIdentify risks and opportunities to management and recommend strategies to achieve company financial goals (monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term)Report on KPIs for the operations team to help optimize resultsEnsure consistent monthly, quarterly, and annual communication of results, forecasts, and action plans to executive management, department heads, and other business partnersSupport the Senior Director, Property FP&A to continually improve processes, ensure consistency, drive change as necessary, and elevate the level of reporting for the overall company, subsidiaries, and individual departmentsSupport the Senior Director, Property FP&A in use of advanced analysis, forecasting, and modeling concepts to predict key elements in support of company's budgeting and forecasting processEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related fieldMBA or CPA is preferred2-4+ years of FP&A progressive experience in forecasting and budgeting processesMust have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, to include experience writing scripts in Visual BasicMust have intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products to include Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookMust have experience working with financial models, including validating and reporting on results as well as tracing errors and processing updatesMust have a strong knowledge of GAAPMust have the ability to maintain and practice confidentialityWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifteen (15) poundsThis individual is located in an office environment generally seated at a desk with a chair for multiple hoursMust be able to swim or willing to wear a personal floatation device when visiting marina site locationsSuntex Marinas provides equal employment opportunities to all team members and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state, or local laws.
