Job Title: Construction Site Safety SpecialistLocationProject-based (Chicago, Austin, Dallas, Phoenix, or Indianapolis (can live anywhere in the US as long as you are close to a major airport and open to working close to the above cities) Employment Type: Full-timePackageBase, 10% bonus + additional project bonus, 100% paid for housing, company vehicle and gas card, flights home every 11 days (11 days on/ 3 days off), $65 per diem for food and drink + plus more, 401k, 20 days PTO, 11 holidays A Day in the LifeEducate and train associates on health and safety topics; deliver site-specific orientations.Oversee safety for high-risk scopes or as requested; enforce safety policies at the project level.Identify and control hazardous conditions and unsafe activities through safety management and collaboration with operations leadership.Motivate participation in safety programs and recognition/awards.Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to implement and verify compliance with safety policies.Ensure subcontractor safety documentation is complete and accurate.Ensure required equipment training is conducted and documented.Clarify safety rules, provide technical expertise, and propose solutions to onsite safety challenges.Actively attend and contribute to site meetings to promote safety.Lead and collaborate on investigations of all safety incidents, determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and report incidents as required.Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the role.Necessary Qualifications2-10 years of Safety & Health experience preferred; construction and concrete experience preferred.BS in Occupational Health & Safety or closely related field "” required.Co-op or intern construction experience preferred but not required.GSP/ASP/CSP certification(s) preferred.
