Position Summary:The Fabrication Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the machining and passivation departments to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets are met. This role is responsible for executing daily production plans, maintaining workflow balance, ensuring adherence to process controls, and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.The Supervisor maintains a strong presence in the production area, coordinating resources, resolving issues in real time, and ensuring that machining and passivation processes operate efficiently and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment and be passionate about making their mark on a new facility in a growing division. Learn more at Primary Job Duties:Supervise daily machining and passivation operations to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements.Ensure safe execution of all machining and chemical/passivation processes in accordance with Environmental, Health C Safety standards.Own shift-level SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) performance and maintain real-time tracking of key performance indicators.Lead daily production meetings and shift handoffs to ensure continuity and clear communication of priorities.Ensure machines, tooling, fixturing, chemicals, and support equipment are available and functioning properly.Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering to minimize downtime and resolve equipment or process issues.Monitor adherence to work instructions, setup sheets, inspection plans, and process controls.Oversee in-process inspections and ensure compliance with quality requirements and specifications.Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or safety incidents.Support and drive Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives within machining and passivation areas.Flex labor and adjust workflow in real time to address bottlenecks and maintain balanced throughput.Ensure accurate ERP transactions, work order tracking, and production reporting.Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Planning to resolve production challenges.Train, coach, and develop machinists, passivation technicians, and production leads to improve performance and technical capability.Ensure proper chemical handling, storage, documentation, and compliance with environmental regulations.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Primary Competencies:Strong knowledge of machining operations, setups, tooling, and material flow.Understanding of passivation processes, chemical handling, and compliance requirements.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Working knowledge of inspection tools and quality standards.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage production in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and production reporting tools.Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.Detail-oriented with consistent execution of processes and procedures.Qualifications:Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with direct experience in machining operations required.Experience supervising or leading production teams preferred.Experience working in regulated or quality-controlled manufacturing environments preferred.High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certifications are a plus.Lean manufacturing experience preferred.Culture:Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, ensuring clear and respectful communication across all levels of the organizationActively drive change by encouraging and implementing cross-functional improvements that enhance operational efficiency and product qualityRespectfully listen to concerns and ideas brought to your attentionRespect confidentialityEmbody our values of Integrity, Trust, Creativity and Courage, Teamwork, and ExcellenceWorking Conditions:Fast-paced manufacturing environment.Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.May involve exposure to noise and varying temperatures.Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.Attendance Requirements:Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory.Accommodations:Essential functions of this position may include but are not limited to lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, crouching, carrying objects, ascending/descending stairs and commuting to work location.
