Miami, FL 33133 - 100% IN OFFICE100% OnsiteCompensation: DOE + Bonus EligibleA well-established lower middle market investment firm is seeking a Senior Accountant / Bookkeeper to support internal accounting operations and fund-related financial activities. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and reconcile multiple sets of books in QuickBooks DesktopPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Perform general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.Support preparation of annual tax filings and coordinate tax documentation.Assist with annual audits and partner with external auditors.Collaborate with third-party fund administrators on fund accounting/reporting.Help improve accounting systems, reporting processes, and internal controls.Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and Excel-based reporting for leadership.Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.Assist with special projects and additional accounting initiatives as needed.QualificationsAccounting degree preferred.5+ years of progressive accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred.Experience in public accounting, private equity, family office, fund accounting, or multi-entity accounting is helpful.Prior audit and tax support experience required.Advanced Excel skills required.Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop required.Experience with reporting/data visualization tools is a plus.Stable work history preferred.Why This OpportunityBonus eligible.Strong health, dental, and vision benefits.401(k) eligibility after 90 days.PTO plus increased vacation after first year.Collaborative, team-oriented culture with strong employee retention.High-visibility role with exposure to leadership and fund operations.
