People Operations Coordinator | San Mateo | $65,000-$75,000 Base + Equity + BenefitsA fast-growing, mission-driven education technology company is seeking a highly organized and people-focused People Operations Coordinator to join its People + Talent team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is a unique opportunity to support recruiting coordination, people operations, and office experience within a global organization that is transforming how students navigate higher education. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, warm, proactive, and excited to contribute to a high-growth startup environment while supporting candidates and employees across multiple regions.What You'll Do• Support end-to-end recruiting coordination, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and interview logistics• Partner with the People + Talent team to ensure a seamless and thoughtful candidate experience• Assist with onboarding coordination and new hire experience for employees across global teams• Support day-to-day People Operations tasks including employee requests, documentation, and process improvements• Help manage office operations at the San Mateo HQ, ensuring a smooth and well-organized in-office experience• Coordinate internal meetings, events, and employee engagement initiatives• Maintain accurate tracking systems for recruiting and people operations workflows• Assist with cross-functional People projects focused on improving internal systems and employee experience• Communicate clearly and professionally with candidates, employees, and internal stakeholders• Support continuous process improvements across People + Talent functionsWhat We're Looking For• 1+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, recruiting coordination, or administrative support• Bachelor's degree required• Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-through• Clear, professional communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment• Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and service-minded approach• Comfortable working across in-office and global/remote teams• Interest in startups, education, and people-focused operationsRole DetailsTemp-to-hire, in-office role based in San Mateo HQCollaborative People + Talent team with global exposureHigh-growth startup environment with meaningful ownership and impactExposure to recruiting, HR, operations, and employee experience functionsCompensation + Benefits$65,000-$75,000 base salary + meaningful equity + full benefitsWe will consider qualified candidates with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the SanFrancisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
