The Marketing Manager - Franchise Development drives strategic marketing efforts to grow Red Roof's franchise network. This role creates and executes campaigns that boost awareness of franchise opportunities, attract qualified leads, and support the development pipeline. Responsibilities include digital marketing, trade media, social media, email outreach, and major industry events, working closely with development and brand teams to ensure effective, results-driven franchise marketing.Job DutiesFranchise Marketing Strategy & PlanningPlan, execute, and manage the overall strategy for franchise marketing, including digital media, trade media, social media, advertising, and industry eventsDevelop and manage the franchise marketing budget, including advertising, trade media, production, social media, and event investments to ensure strong ROITrack marketing performance and adjust strategies based on resultsFranchise Lead Generation & Pipeline SupportGenerate and qualify franchise development leads through digital channels, including social media, web, email, and trade showsPartner with the Franchise Development team to ensure marketing programs support the sales pipelineDevelop and manage email marketing programs that nurture franchise prospectsDigital Marketing & ContentManage franchise development social media channels to raise awareness, grow engagement, and strengthen brand reputationDevelop and publish digital content, including written, visual, and video assetsManage LinkedIn accounts for franchise development leaders and ensure alignment with overall brand strategyOversee updates and optimization of the franchising website and related microsites, ensuring SEO alignment and performance trackingFranchise Marketing MaterialsManage the design and updates of franchise brochures, presentations, and customized marketing collateralMaintain franchise development presentations aligned with annual FDD updates and development opportunitiesCreate and publish franchise newsletters and marketing communicationsPublic Relations & Trade MediaManage trade media advertising schedules and coordinate design and delivery of materials to publicationsAssist in managing the franchise PR agency relationshipAmplify media coverage through social channels, company platforms, and internal communicationsEvents & Industry PresenceManage booth design, marketing materials, and promotional support for franchise events and trade shows such as AAHOAAttend industry conferences and franchise meetings to support the franchise development team and capture content for marketing channelsBuild relationships with hospitality and franchise networking groupsCross-Functional CollaborationAttend franchise development and marketing meetings to stay aligned on strategic prioritiesAct as a connector between marketing, franchise development, and communications teamsSupport marketing, events, and other internal initiatives as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience3 or more years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital marketingExperience supporting marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, engagement, or lead generationWorking knowledge of digital marketing channels, including social media, website management, and search engine optimization (SEO)Experience developing marketing content across multiple formats, including written, visual, and videoStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointStrong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneouslyDetail oriented with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentAbility to travel up to 15%Preferred QualificationsExperience in franchise, hospitality, real estate, or B2B marketing environmentsFamiliarity with marketing programs that support franchise development or sales pipelinesUnderstanding of hotel trade media and industry publicationsExperience managing social media accounts for business or executive leadershipUnderstanding of how digital marketing contributes to brand visibility, lead generation, and website trafficExperience working with PR agencies or external marketing partnersAbility to lead marketing initiatives or coordinate cross-functional projects when requiredAbility to lead marketing initiatives or coordinate cross functional project teams when required
