Position Project Control Specialist Location Chattanooga, TN (REMOTE)SummaryLooking for a Project Control Specialist with experience in managing the Cost portion of projectsThe Project Control Specialist will work on Digital Asset Recovery projects, including cybersecurity, infrastructure, and/or application upgrades/deploymentAs the Subject Matter Expert (SME), the Project Control Specialist develops and implements methods for Performance Monitoring, Reporting, Analysis, and Trend AssessmentThe Project Control Specialist facilitates programs to ensure the establishment and analysis of specific operational and process improvement plans used for goal setting, estimating project plans, performance indicators/targets, benchmarking, baselining, and trendingThis position is Remote, with occasional travel to Chattanooga, TNLocal Candidates who can work 3 Days Onsite in Chattanooga, TN are preferredResponsibilitiesPerforms developmental assignments of increasing responsibility in work planning and project control, including status, variances, progress, indicator tracking, and control changes for projects or programsAssists in the annual and project life-cycle planning process for trend analysis, cost/schedule forecasts, cash flows, budget adjustments, and project prioritizationSupports preparation of summary and detail-level reports and trend analyses as required to keep organization program/project engineers and managers aware of the impact of forecasted or actual changes to their budgets, spend plans, and schedulesDevelops good communication and coordination skills to influence the general management of projectsAssists project teams by participating actively in logic-sequence evolution, preparing schedules, estimates, economic evaluations, project cost/benefit analysis, and project approval packagesSupports processes including project change requests, lessons learned, work authorization, work management, and process improvementReviews contract costs and reports variancesSupports development of risk-analysis reports and recommendationsAssists in field-support activities during outages and construction for engineering, construction, plant, and partnersMay support the development or updating of scheduling or other management information-system tools, including developing methods and establishing links to other data sourcesSupports the process of tracking the physical progress of a project to ensure work is progressing as plannedAssists in selected project walk-downs to verify that progress reported is accurate and costs are charged to the proper work activitiesAssists in the preparation of project-closure documentsWork assignments are made in accordance with the Project Control Progression Plan, which will document increased project-control knowledge and experienceQualifications3-5+ years of experience with Cost Control, Project Control, or Project ManagementExperience with Digital Asset Recovery projects, including cybersecurity, infrastructure, and/or application upgrades/deployment, is preferredKnowledge of Project Controls techniques to ensure a project stays within its approved scope, budget, and schedule by monitoring progress, forecasting potential issues, and taking corrective actionsBachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent real-world experience may be consideredExperience working with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel is preferredUtilities/Oil & Gas/Energy industry experience is preferredMilitary experience is a plusWhy Join ParadigmAt Paradigm, integrity drives innovation.
