Devops Engineer with Java Experience (USC & GC only)

We are seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer with strong Java experience to support and modernize Baron & Budd's on-prem enterprise platforms. This role is heavily focused on containerization, CI/CD automation, infrastructure reliability, and security, with close collaboration across Java development and infrastructure teams.The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in on-prem Kubernetes environments, building robust CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, and supporting enterprise Java applications from development through production. Exposure to Azure cloud services is a plus as the organization evolves toward hybrid architectures.Responsibilities• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines for enterprise Java applications• Build and manage containerized workloads using Docker• Deploy, operate, and support on-prem Kubernetes clusters• Support enterprise Java applications (Spring Boot, APIs, batch jobs, microservices) across environments• Implement security controls, policies, secrets management, and access governance• Monitor, troubleshoot, and respond to incidents, alerts, and IOCs in production environments• Automate build, deployment, configuration, and environment provisioning• Partner with development, infrastructure, and security teams to improve release velocity and stability• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of mission-critical systems• Contribute to technical documentation, runbooks, and operational best practicesRequirements• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering• Strong hands-on experience with on-prem DevOps environments• Proven expertise in Docker and Kubernetes (on-prem clusters)• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines• Solid hands-on experience supporting enterprise Java applications• Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and system administration• Experience with Git-based workflows, Maven/Gradle builds• Knowledge of security best practices, vulnerability management, and incident response• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skillsNice to Have• Exposure to Azure DevOps or Azure cloud services (hybrid readiness)• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, etc.)• Knowledge of container security, image scanning, and policy enforcement• Experience in legal, financial, or other regulated enterprise environments• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk)• Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical systems
