Infrastructure Services Engineer

Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Services Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure and network operations in a fast-paced financial services environment. This role sits above traditional help desk support and focuses on escalated infrastructure and network issues, system reliability, and enterprise technology support.ResponsibilitiesSupport and resolve escalated infrastructure and network ticketsAdminister and maintain enterprise servers, virtualization, and networking environmentsMonitor system and network performance and respond to alerts and outages, including participation in an on-call rotationTroubleshoot complex networking and infrastructure issues across cross-functional teamsManage firewall policies, network segmentation, VPNs, and load balancingAutomate operational tasks using scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python, or AnsiblePerform root cause analysis and document solutions, procedures, and configurationsRequirements5+ years of hands-on network/infrastructure engineering experienceStrong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking, routing protocols, VLANs, VPNs, and network securityExperience with enterprise networking equipment and firewall technologiesExperience troubleshooting VoIP and video conferencing issuesFamiliarity with ISP connectivity and service managementExperience with Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) preferredScripting and automation experience (PowerShell, Python, or Ansible)Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skillsRelevant industry certifications are a plus (e.g., CCNP, PCNSA/PCNSE, VCP)Additional DetailsHybrid work arrangementContract opportunityStandard business hours with occasional on-call responsibilitiesInterview process includes two rounds of technical interviews
