Electrical Engineer - Level III - MEP Design

The Electrical Engineer - Level III leads the development of electrical design documents for commercial building projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards and client requirements. This role develops branch circuit distribution systems for lighting and power applications and performs electrical load calculations, panel schedules, voltage drop calculations and basic short-circuit and coordination studies. The Electrical Engineer - Level III prepares electrical drawings, specifications and construction documents while selecting appropriate equipment and devices based on performance, cost and system compatibility. This position coordinates closely with multidisciplinary MEP teams and leads design and construction meetings with clients, consultants and contractors to support project execution and resolve technical issues. The role conducts site visits, supports construction administration through submittal and RFI review and prepares project documentation to ensure accuracy and continuity through construction. Prepares, reviews and monitors contracts, fee proposals and contract negotiations to ensure alignment with project scope and firm objectives.Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of project work while consistently maintaining firm-wide quality standards across all deliverables.Conducts construction site visits and performs field surveys to document existing conditions, verify code compliance and monitor construction progress against design documents.
