Senior Robotics Software Engineer - LocalizationA leading robotics technology company is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer with deep expertise in Localization and Autonomous Navigation to support the continued advancement of its next-generation robotic platforms. This role is heavily focused on robot positioning, mapping, sensor fusion, and localization accuracy within complex real-world environments.This is a highly visible engineering role working alongside perception, planning, controls, and simulation teams to improve autonomous system performance and reliability across a growing robotics platform.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and optimize localization systems for autonomous mobile robotsImprove robot positioning accuracy using sensor fusion and state estimation techniquesDevelop and maintain SLAM, mapping, and localization software componentsIntegrate and process data from LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, wheel odometry, GPS, and other robotic sensorsAnalyze robot logs and debug localization drift, mapping inconsistencies, and navigation issuesCollaborate with perception, planning, and controls engineers on full autonomy stack integrationSupport simulation, replay, testing, and validation of localization performanceContribute to software architecture, code reviews, and engineering best practicesQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field5+ years of professional robotics software engineering experienceStrong modern C++ development experience (C++11/14/17)Strong experience with ROS / ROS2 and Linux environmentsHands-on experience with:Localization systemsSLAMMapping and navigationSensor fusionState estimationExperience working with robotic sensors including LiDAR, IMUs, cameras, and odometry systemsStrong understanding of autonomous robotics software architectures and real-time systemsAdditional InformationFull-time permanent opportunityHybrid work scheduleCompetitive compensation packageFull suite of health, dental, and vision benefits401(k) retirement planOpportunity to work on cutting-edge autonomous robotics technology deployed in real-world environments
