Job Title: IT Project ManagerDuration: 6 months (Contract to Hire)Location: Columbia, SC (Partial Onsite:Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, other days as required by project planned deliverables.)Hours: 8am-5pm - Any OT must be approved by managementInterviews: In-PersonDay to Day:Lead several projects (one to five) in a strong matrix environment executing Software Development Lifecycle methodologies.Developing and monitoring project plans, communication plans, risk management plans, and project artifacts from project initiation to post implementation/closure.Ensures project deliverables are complete on time, on budget, within scope, and in accordance with client's standards:Responsible daily for the development, execution, and maintenance of project plans and project communications:facilitating effective communications between all parties involved in the project, including meetings, correspondence/recaps, status reports and other project artifacts per client standards.Monitors resource requirements and assigned deliverables based on project specifications. Ensures resources are assigned to meet project objectives while managing project hours budgeted.Identifies and manages tasks and issues that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort to ensure delivery as planned.Provides both written and verbal project status updates upon request.TeamVDS (Commercial PMO) - Reporting to Dion Lemon - The IT Project Manager will report to a Portfolio Manager with a team of 8 - 10 Project Managers. Most project teams will range between 8 - 20 team members.My team supports various portfolios including Telephony, client Association, and Med Advantage.Required Education: Bachelor Degree or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in any major.Required Work Experience: 3 years IT experience in a leadership capacity on one or more project teams. Completion of the client's Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of work experience.Required Technologies: Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint Online, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Teams, etc.)The candidate should be familiar with IT SDLC as this is a mid-level position.Nice To Have: Azure Boards, ProjectSoft Skills:Demonstrated organizational skills.Demonstrated IT project management experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills.DependabilityAccountable for results.AdaptablePresentation skills
