Web Migration Specialist to support the Web Modernization initiative by migrating websites from the legacy Plesk hosting platform to the centralized Sites@GT hosting environment.The selected candidate will work closely with Georgia Tech web customers, the OIT Web Hosting team, and the CampusPress vendor to ensure efficient, accessible, and standards-compliant website migrations.Required Skills: • 3-5 years of experience with WordPress CMS • Experience building, managing, and migrating WordPress websites • Knowledge of migration best practices including:SEO preservation and redirectsContent validation and integrityAccessibility during migrations • Ability to assess functional requirements such as forms, workflows, search, events, and integrations • Experience recommending plugin alternatives and native platform solutions • Strong customer communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users • Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility guidelines and accessible web design standards • Understanding of DNS concepts and domain configuration • Ability to prioritize migration efforts based on complexity and institutional impactPreferred Skills: • Experience with Git or version control systems • Familiarity with deployment workflowsKey Responsibilities: • Design and manage intake/tracking processes for website migration requests • Collaborate with customers to assess migration readiness and prioritize requests • Plan and execute website migrations aligned with project standards and timelines • Coordinate with CampusPress vendor, OIT Web Hosting team, and end users • Troubleshoot migration-related issues and ensure successful transitions • Maintain migration documentation, communication records, and status tracking
