Property AccountantWe are seeking a Property Accountant to join an established commercial real estate investment company. This role will be hands-on in all property accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting for a set portfolio of properties.The VP Accounting is targeting a driven Accountant with a foundation in real estate or property accounting and desire to join a fast-growing organization. The firm offers a competitive compensation package, hybrid schedule, and comprehensive employee benefits.Responsibilities:Perform month-end activities (GL review, journal entries, reconciliations, etc.) for a portfolio of propertiesContribute to budget/forecast preparationPrepare reporting packages and meet all internal reporting deadlinesSupport AP/AR functions; create/code invoices as neededPrepare workpapers for the annual auditMaintain working relationship with property managersEnsure accurate US GAAP accounting standards are metPlay a key role in streamlining processes and new systemsSupport the leadership team with ad-hoc projects as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field1-3 years of real estate/property accounting experienceIntermediate to advanced Excel; experience with Yardi or MRIExcellent analytical and communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment
