Senior Buyer

Position Summary:Responsible for controlling the flow of ingredients and packaging through inventory control and placing orders as needed. Perform standard Purchasing Department duties to include maintaining files and vendor lists, coordinating details with vendors (back orders, order cancellations, price checks, etc.), clerical work and requesting physical inventories from the inventory control personnel as required. Treats others with respect and consideration per the company Values.Essential Job Functions:Raw Materials & Packaging? Use Navision MRP software and spreadsheets to monitor specific raw materials on a daily basis and order as needed to meet production demands.? Create and process Purchase Orders in Navision.? Issue Purchase Orders to approved suppliers and follow up to ensure complete on time deliveries accompanied by all required paperwork.? Manage inventory levels on raw materials and packing from assigned vendors.? Reconcile packaging suppliers custom packaging inventories against system generated blanket POs reports? Keep supplier and ingredient documentation up-to-date including specification sheets, Kosher Certificates, MSDS sheets, Certificates of insurance and Third-Party Audits.? Work closely with Shipping and Receiving to ensure POs are received into Navision correctly and in a timely manner? Work directly with suppliers to solve any with issues with incomplete, out of spec or damaged deliveriesEssential Job Requirements:Qualifications:? Associate's degree in Business or related field preferred.? 5+ years of proven experience in Procurement, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.? Strong Computer Skills and ability to learn new programs.? High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite - especially Excel and Word.? Experience with integrated ERP systems - Microsoft Navision experience a plus.? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain composure.? Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.? Knowledge of food safety and quality assurance practices is preferred.? Experience with bakery Packaging materials, formats, and suppliers; familiarity with custom packaging specifications, label compliance, and food-grade packaging standards preferred? Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.? Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.?
