Assistant Manager Manufacturing

Pay: $114,000 - $130,000/year (depending on experience)We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in the Lumberton area to hire an experienced Assistant Manufacturing Manager. This is a key leadership role supporting full plant operations, working directly with the Plant Manager to drive production, safety, quality, and team performance.This is a great opportunity for someone with strong manufacturing leadership experience who is looking to step into a high-impact role with long-term growth potential.What You'll Be Doing:Oversee daily plant operations to meet production schedules and efficiency goalsLead, coach, and develop supervisors and production teamsEnsure compliance with safety policies and regulatory standardsMonitor KPIs including output, downtime, labor efficiency, and scrapIdentify and implement process improvements (lean manufacturing, waste reduction)Partner with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to improve operationsAssist with budgeting, cost control, and resource planningTroubleshoot production issues and minimize downtimeSupport quality standards and auditsStep in for Plant Manager when neededWhat We're Looking For:10+ years of manufacturing experience5+ years in a leadership or management roleStrong background in plant operations, production, and team leadershipExperience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvementAbility to analyze data and drive operational decisionsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsBachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience)Additional Details:This role supports a large-scale operation with 180+ employeesHands-on leadership role with regular time spent on the production floorMust be comfortable working in an industrial environment (noise, machinery, temperature changes)PPE required (steel-toe boots, safety gear, etc.)
