Hybrid, Web Migration Specialist (WordPress CMS & SEO)

Client is looking for Web Migration Specialist supports and it's Hybrid position 2 to 3 days onsite in a weekRequired Skills: (3-5 years' experience)WordPress CMS ExpertiseExperience building, managing, and migrating WordPress-based websites, including migration best practices such as:SEO preservation (e.g., redirects)Content integrity and validationAccessibility considerations during migrationFunctional Requirements & Solution MappingAbility to assess site functionality requirements (e.g., forms, workflows, search, events, integrations) and recommend appropriate solutions using comparable plugins or native features available within the Sites@GT platform, including identifying alternatives when custom or unsupported plugins are in use.Customer Engagement & CommunicationStrong ability to work directly with customers to:Gather and clarify requirementsRecommend appropriate solutions using the Sites@GT platformClearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesWeb Accessibility Best PracticesWorking knowledge of WCAG guidelines and accessible web design standards, with the ability to identify and address accessibility issues during migrationsDNS & Domain Configuration FundamentalsUnderstanding of basic DNS concepts and domain configuration, including setting up and validating site URLs (e.g., custom domains, subdomains) and coordinating DNS updates required for migrating sites to & PlanningAbility to prioritize and sequence website migrations based on factors such as:Site visibility and audience reachTechnical complexityInstitutional impact (high-profile vs. low-profile sites)Preferred SkillsGit / Version ControlFamiliarity with Git or similar version control systems for managing web code and supporting deployment workflows"Taras Technology, LLC is an EEO/AA Employer: women, minorities, the disabled and veterans are encouraged to apply"
