Company DescriptionCreative Apparel Concepts (CAC) is an apparel wholesaler based in Golden Valley, MN. We design and source sleepwear and apparel across a portfolio of proprietary brands and licensed properties, selling to retail channels ranging from mass merchandisers to department stores. Founded in 2000, CAC has built its business on strong retail relationships, a deep catalog of in-house and licensed art, and a hands-on approach to product development from concept through delivery.Role DescriptionThe Sleepwear Product Coordinator at Creative Apparel Concepts (CAC) supports the product development and production team as the day-to-day point of contact with buyers, factories, and licensors. This is a hands-on role supporting product development and production, coordinating approvals, tracking open items, supporting sample submissions, and helping keep programs on schedule. The right person is organized, communicates clearly, and sees tasks through from start to finish.Key ResponsibilitiesApprovals and Workflow ManagementCoordinate and maintain tracking for open approval items across CAC sleepwear brands and customer-specific programs, including art approvals, garment approvals, licensor submissions, and customer sign-offsFollow up with factories, licensors, and customer contacts to keep approvals moving on scheduleMaintain accurate status tracking in WFX PLM and help flag issues before they affect timelinesPrepare regular approval status summaries for the product development and production teamSet up and maintain seasonal line plans in WFX PLM to support product development tracking and team visibilityCustomer and Factory CommunicationSupport the product development and production team as the primary point of contact with buyers and customer coordinators on open product and approval questionsCommunicate with factory contacts on samples, deadlines, approval questions, and production updatesCoordinate sample submissions and related materials for customers, factories, and licensors, including photos, supporting documentation, and tracking informationCommunicate with customers to confirm orders and flag any issuesSupport data entry for customer and vendor orders in Business Central ERPProduct Development ParticipationAttend product development meetings for CAC sleepwear brands and customer programsLearn color, artwork, garment, licensor, and customer approval processes from the Print and CAD Designer and product development leadershipTrack development milestones and sample submissions through the product lifecycle in WFX PLMAssist during sample reviews by learning basic measuring checkpoints, taking organized sample photos, and helping prepare submission updates for customers, factories, and licensorsCosting SupportLearn CAC's costing process under the direction of the Head of Product Operations, with the goal of supporting basic cost request preparation and compilation of results within the first six monthsAssist in gathering factory and customer pricing details and organizing inputs for internal reviewDesign and Creative SupportHelp prepare seasonal marketing materials, line sheets, and visual presentations by coordinating product information, samples, images, and approvalsQualificationsRequiredDegree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Design, Textile Science, or a related field, or meaningful experience in the apparel industry that taught you the same fundamentalsStrong organizational skills: you track your own open items, follow up without being asked, and things do not fall through on your watchClear professional written communication, whether corresponding with a factory overseas or a buyer coordinator at a major retailerProficiency in Microsoft ExcelA genuine interest in apparel and how products move from concept to productionAdaptability and comfort working in a hands-on environment where the role may touch approvals, customer communication, product development, systems, and follow-throughA Plus If You Also HaveFamiliarity with PLM systems or product development workflowsExperience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or PhotoshopBackground with licensed brands or licensor approval workflowsBackground with overseas sourcing, factories, or production communicationExperience creating social media content or maintaining websitesWorking ConditionsCreative, collaborative, and hands-on work environmentOpen office with moderate noise levelFull-time, salaried exempt position with full benefitsOccasional domestic travel may be available for customer meetings, trade events, or product presentations in markets such as Boston, New York, Los Angeles, and Seattle
