The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting estate planning documents, managing client files, and supporting the smooth flow of work through our estate planning practice. This person should be precise, professional, and warm "” comfortable communicating with clients about their plans and coordinating the details that make a complex process feel simple to the families we serve.ResponsibilitiesDraft estate planning documents using our document automation system: revocable living trusts, pour-over wills, financial and healthcare powers of attorney, HIPAA authorizations, and related instrumentsProof and quality-check drafts before attorney reviewCommunicate with clients about signing logistics, document questions, and execution schedulingCoordinate trust funding: deed preparation and recording, beneficiary designation forms, asset retitling guidanceCreate and maintain client files and matter records in our practice management systemKeep matters moving toward completion by tracking deadlines, signings, and follow-upsProvide front-desk and phone backup support to our Client Services CoordinatorQualifications2+ years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or legal secretary, preferably in estate planning, trusts and estates, or transactional workParalegal certificate, associate's or bachelor's degree, or equivalent experienceExcellent written communication and proofreading skillsComfortable with document automation software (Knackly, HotDocs, or similar)Strong attention to detail and willingness to be measured on accuracyProfessional, warm demeanor for client-facing interactionsNotary public commission preferred (or willingness to obtain)
