Job Description

6 month contract with extension or conversion to perm M-F 40hrs per week (regular business hours) Pay $35hr-$40hr US Citizen or Green Card only Must be onsite Daily East San Jose CA Job DutiesReceiving & Customer Notification: Receive inbound deliveries; verify items against packing slips/purchase orders; inspect for damage; document discrepancies; complete required system transactions; and notify internal customers when shipments arrive for pickup or delivery coordinationShipping & Logistics: Prepare outbound shipments (pick/pack/label), generate required shipping documentation, coordinate carrier pickups (FedEx/UPS/DHL/couriers/LTL as needed), and track shipments to closureInventory & Stockroom Management: Maintain accurate inventory records; perform cycle counts; organize/label storage locations; and support inventory consolidation and space optimizationERP / PR Support: Create and submit Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for shipping/stockroom supplies and services in Oracle (or similar ERP), track approvals, and support receiving/invoice matching as neededMaterial Movement & Internal Support: Deliver and stage materials for internal customers; support replenishment and distribution needs across the siteWarehouse Organization (5S): Maintain clean, safe, organized, and audit-ready receiving/shipping/stockroom areas; support layout, labeling, and storageCompliance & Safety: Follow site safety policies and handling requirements (e.g., ESD controls, hazardous materials where applicable) and maintain accurate documentationVendor/Carrier Coordination: Work with suppliers, carriers, and service providers to resolve issues and support service levelsProcess Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to shipping/receiving workflows, inventory accuracy, and material flow; collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issuesSupport hazardous waste-related documentation (e.g., waste manifests) in accordance with EHS/site procedures and authorization. Support EHS-related documentation associated with hazardous waste (e.g., waste manifests) in accordance with site procedures and authorizationSupport sustainability activities, inspections, and emergency preparedness initiatives.Performs other duties as assignedCompetenciesGood analytical, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work within a diverse teamMaintain a positive and professional working relationship with cross functional teamsA passion for service, self-motivated, going beyond the call of dutyWell organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurateAble to solve problems in in resourceful and effective waysPositive attitude and work ethic; unafraid to ask questions, explore new ideas, adaptable, and willingness to learnQualifications (Requirements)Associate's degree in supply chain management, Electronics Engineering, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent4+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, stockroom, warehouse operations, or material handlingOracle ERP experience (or similar system such as SAP, NetSuite, Workday, Coupa, etc.) including creating/submitting Purchase Requisitions (PRs)Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple requestsProficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)Strong customer service and communication skills; able to communicate with internal customers regarding shipment status, arrival notifications, and pickup coordinationExperience utilizing FedEx, UPS, DHL, and other domestic and international shipping carriersAbility to complete required compliance training within an established onboarding period (typically 30-60 days), including:DOT HazMat Transportation - General AwarenessRCRA / Hazardous Waste Management (Generator training)Knowledge of export controls and shipping compliance requirements when shipping internationally or handling controlled technologyExcellent time and task management skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. (with or without reasonable accommodation)Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasksAbility to work in a warehouse environment with occasional seasonal temperature variationThis position is onsite Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
