Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer - Transmission & Distribution (T&D)Location: Syracuse, NYWe are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to support Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects in the Syracuse area. This role will focus on the design, analysis, and execution of utility infrastructure projects, working closely with project teams and utility clients.Key Responsibilities:Perform engineering design for transmission and distribution systems, including overhead and underground networksSupport substation and power delivery projects through design, analysis, and technical reviewPrepare drawings, specifications, and engineering documentationConduct system studies and calculations (load flow, fault analysis, etc.)Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure successful project executionReview and ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and utility requirementsProvide technical support during construction and commissioning phasesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field2-8+ years of experience in T&D, power delivery, or utility engineeringKnowledge of transmission lines, distribution systems, and/or substationsExperience with industry software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, ETAP, SKM, etc.) preferredStrong understanding of NEC, NESC, and utility standardsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsPreferred:EIT or PE license (or working toward licensure)Experience working with utility clients or EPC contractorsWhat's on Offer:Opportunity to work on critical infrastructure and grid modernization projectsCareer progression within a growing T&D engineering teamCompetitive compensation and benefits package
