The HT Group has recently partnered with a growing manufacturer/distributor supporting the home and commercial services sector located near Love Field (onsite) in the search for a qualified Controller for an immediate need.Reporting to the CEO, the Controller will serve as the company's top financial officer and will oversee all accounting and HR-related functions in a small company setting (less than 100 employees). In partnership with other team members and external advisors, the Controller will also lead critical accounting, operations finance, human resources and administrative functions.Location: Central Dallas/Love Field (Onsite)Duration: Full-TimeCompensation: $145,000 - $155,000 base + 20% bonus; medical/dental/vision/401KAccounting & FinanceOversee all day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, inventory, and fixed assets, ensuring an accurate and timely month-end closeManage a small accounting staff (currently two employees)Prepare monthly and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement) in accordance with GAAPPrepare additional financial reports for use by internal management, investors, and lendersPrepare and present regular financial and KPI dashboards to leadership and investors, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunitiesLead the annual audit, serving as the primary contact for external auditors and ensuring timely completion of all audit deliverables and findingsLead the annual budgeting processTrack performance versus budget, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actionsDevelop and maintain standard cost, inventory, and margin reportingImplement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulationsCoordinate tax compliance with external advisors, ensuring timely and accurate filings and paymentsDrive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting, including ERP systems and related automationManage cash flow, including daily cash management, 13-week cash forecasts, and working capital optimization (receivables, payables, and inventory)HR & AdministrativeServe as the HR leader, overseeing HR policies, employee records, and compliance with employment regulations in coordination with external providersAdminister company benefit plans (health, dental, vision, and 401(k)), manage open enrollment, and work with brokers to evaluate plan design and costAdminister bonus and commission incentive plansOversee compliance and reporting for retirement plans and other employee benefit programs in partnership with third-party administratorsManage relationships with insurance brokers and carriers; oversee all business insurance (property, casualty, general liability, workers' compensation, auto, and umbrella) and ensure appropriate coverageAct as the primary contact for the company's banking relationships, including lines of credit, treasury services, and covenant reportingOversee other select administrative services, vendors, and functions, such as external IT vendors, communications providers, and regulatory agenciesBackground & Qualifications10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a management roleCertified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferredExperience in manufacturing or industrial distribution preferredExperience in public accounting a plusExperience working in a private equity-backed environment a plusExperience implementing accounting, ERP, or other business systems a plus
