Right Price.Job Description:Position:Test Engineer Location:Lafayette, INDuration: 12 Months ContractJob Description:Why this Role?Career growth: Our Pontiac facility is one of several in the state and one of countless in the US and around the world. Performing well here could lead to opportunities both within the plant and around the business as a whole.Typical task breakdown:Problem solving, corrective actions: lead/support investigations into quality issues (scrap/rework/customer complaints), develop and implement corrective and preventative actions, Use quality tools like 8D, fishbone, and FMEAProcess monitoring/continuous improvement: use data and risk analysis to direct actions, collaborate with small business team (manufacturing engineers, operations) to improve process capability and reduce variationData Analysis & Reporting: Analyze quality data (e.g., defect rates, process capability, SPC charts), Prepare reports for management and cross-functional teams, Track KPIs such as First Pass Yield, internal and external PPMTraining and Support: train operators on quality standards and inspection techniques, support cross-functional teams with quality-related expertiseInteraction with teamAttendance to regularly scheduled meetingsPeers and direct management at start of shiftDaily interaction with employees in assigned section (operators, team lead, section manager)Meeting with cross functional teams to address issues as they ariseClose collaboration with Small Business TeamTeam Structure:Quality engineers are peers organized under quality managerQuality engineers will be assigned to specific cost center and be part of that small business team (SBT).
