About the CompanyN/AAbout the RoleAll first-class Craftsmen shall exhibit the competency of the "NCCER Curriculum" through Level IV and meet the relative S&B job description for their specified craft.ResponsibilitiesReads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.Dismantles machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools.Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks.Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors and monorails using hand tools and power tools.Constructs foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials, such as wood, cement and steel.Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs.Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools.May operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.May repair and lubricate machines and equipment.The above description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job. The description shall not, however, be construed as a complete listing of all miscellaneous, incidental or similar duties which may be required from day to day.QualificationsMinimum of four (4) years industry related experience with a minimum of one (1) year as a Millwright in refinery, chemical, petrochemical, or similar industrial plant construction or maintenance, performing the work described herein. Must be able to perform work within precise limits or standards of accuracy, make decisions based on measured criteria, read and understand drawings and specifications, visualize objects in three dimensions from flat drawings read, understand, and communicate safety instructions, signs and labels, be able to follow and communicate instructions, both verbally and written, and pass a craft-specific test.Required SkillsAbility to effectively verbally communicate directions from craft supervisors and respond to questions from clients, managers and fellow workers.Preferred SkillsAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.Pay range and compensation packageN/AEqual Opportunity StatementNormal work environment will be construction sites within operating plants.
