Title: Senior Design Engineer (Fuel Equipment)Salary: $120,000 - $160,000Location:Marlborough, MA (Relocation Available!)Duration: Permanent/Direct-HireWe are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to lead the design and execution of fuel delivery and combustion system projects for industrial and utility boiler applications. This is a high-impact role offering technical ownership, client interaction, field commissioning exposure, and long-term growth into a subject matter expert position.ResponsibilitiesLead design and execution of natural gas fuel systems and combustion equipment projectsDevelop P&IDs and specify equipment including filtration, pressure reduction, flow control, burners, and auxiliariesPerform system analysis, equipment sizing, and code-compliant fuel system designSupport proposals, technical presentations, and customer consultationsLead startup, commissioning, testing, and performance optimization activitiesContribute to engineering standards and technical best practicesQualificationsBS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering8+ years of experience in fuel systems, combustion systems, or related industrial/process industriesStrong knowledge of natural gas system design, combustion equipment, ASME B31, and NFPA codesExperience with industrial boilers or utility/power generation projects preferredField startup/commissioning experience a plusCFD experience and PE license preferredAbility to travel as neededThis is an excellent opportunity for a technically driven engineer looking to work on complex energy infrastructure projects while advancing into a senior technical leadership role.FootBridge is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected.
