Job Description

Pride Health is seeking a Float Medical Assistant (Pediatrics) to join a team in Bellaire, Texas, 77401 This is a contract position with potential permanent conversion. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled healthcare professional with experience in an Pediatric Cardiology Settings.Key Responsibilities: Welcome and interact with patients, families, and visitors in a professional, timely, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner Respond promptly to patient inquiries regarding appointments, wait times, and unexpected issues Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and clinic staff regarding arrivals, delays, and workflow Proactively address dissatisfied patients and implement service recovery measures Perform patient rooming and preparation Record vital signs accurately, and conduct EKG procedures Assist with patient registration and admission processes Maintain accurate records in EMR systems (Epic preferred) Required: High School Diploma or GED Minimum 2 years of related healthcare experienceEMR systems (Epic preferred) Pediatrics Experience is required Certification in one of the following: CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, NRCMA, RMA OR EMT (Basic, Advanced, Intermediate, Paramedic) / Licensed Paramedic Additional Information: ScheduleMonday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5.00 PM Guaranteed Hours40 hours per week Pay Range$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Contract length14 weeks Work LocationPrimary Location: Fallbrook or Bellaire (Houston Metro Area) Additional Locations: 9 rotating clinic sites (total 11 clinic locations) Travel Requirement: Mandatory travel across clinic locations within the Houston Interested?
