This is the largest faith-based, non-profit healthcare system in Texas, and has over 52 campuses spread throughout the market! I have placed with this system several times and can tell you about their financial viability, their culture, and their constant aim towards excellent patient care.This 600+ bed Magnet Hospital is one of the largest campuses in the state. They are the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region and provide the highest level of care to the community. This location has a vacancy rate less than three percent, and their turnover rate is less than twelve percent. They are looking to find a Vice President of Patient Care to backfill a role where the predecessor was promoted to be a Chief Nursing Officer within the same system.The Vice President of Patient Care will have oversight of 500 beds, 1000+ FTEs, and have four directors reporting up to them. The service lines that this person will have oversight of include acute and progressive care, med surg, urology, transplant, neuro, trauma, oncology, transitional care, and OB overflow. This person will report to the Regional Chief Nursing Officer, who has been with the system for over seven years and was just recently promoted to this role! The Regional CNO is looking for someone with teaching hospital experience, who can work well with the employed doctors, and can speak to how they can and have achieved strong patient experience scores. DNP strongly preferred.15+ years of experience in an acute care hospital setting, 10 of those being in clinical nurse leadership.Must have experience in directors reporting to them.Some experience ideally in an academic trauma center.Experience collaborating across multiple departments and clinical disciplines within a large, complex healthcare organization preferred.Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with strong presentation skillsFamiliarity with Magnet and/or Pathways to Excellence designationThe salary midpoint for this role is 190k with a swing on either side.
