Job Title: Financial Analyst IILocation: Sacramento, CA - 2300 River Plaza Suite, 95833Schedule: Hybrid | 6-11 month assignment | Non-clinical - FinanceSummary / Duties:This Financial Analyst II provides LOA coverage for the Sutter Surgery Center Division, supporting a high-volume portfolio of 7 ambulatory surgery centers and 2 holding companies. The role is responsible for monthly close, financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with a strong focus on maintaining accuracy during a critical period that includes budget season, year-end close, and board reporting cycles. The analyst partners with leadership to deliver insights, support operating and capital budgets, and ensure timely reporting for governing body and board meetings. Responsibilities include maintaining financial systems, reconciling data, supporting benchmarking, and assisting with audit activities while helping reduce team capacity constraints and workload risk.Description:This position will need to be onsite/hybrid at River Plaza and will be required to come in the office for first two weeks of training. Starting July, there will be 8 to 12 days a month in person at River Plaza location.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience2+ years of recent financial analysis experienceExperience with financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysisExperience supporting month-end close, operating and capital budgetsProficiency in Excel and financial systems for modeling, reporting, and data analysisKnowledge of GAAP and financial operations processesExperience managing multiple entities or business units (e.g., ASCs, holding companies)Ability to analyze large datasets and support leadership with actionable insightsPreferred Requirements:Experience in healthcare finance or ambulatory surgery center (ASC) environmentExperience supporting board or governing body reportingExperience with benchmarking and performance analysisExperience with financial modeling, templates, and decision support toolsAbility to support audit activities and financial documentationExperience collaborating with accounting teams on reconciliations and reporting issues
