Location Kalasho Education and Youth Services (Lorraine Center), 29900 Lorraine Ave.Warren, MI 48093Job Type Full-timeSalary Range $70,000-$80,000, with final compensation determined based on experience andqualifications.Job SummaryFounded in 2001, Kalasho Education & Youth Services is a non-profit organization dedicated tosupporting youth with comprehensive educational programs, advocacy, healthcare, legal aid, and business literacy training.The Therapist will be dedicated to helping individuals and families in need improve their quality oflife through providing resources, counseling, and advocacy.Specific responsibilities for the social worker position include:Provide individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy using evidence-based therapeuticapproaches to support clients' mental health and overall well-being.Provide parent-child relationship focused therapy to children aged 0-6IMH endorsement (or willingness to be endorsed) not required but strongly preferredWork cooperatively as a member of a team with program staff and community partners.Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate clients' emotional,behavioral, and psychological needs, as well as their strengths and support systems, inorder to develop appropriate treatment goals.Respond appropriately to crisis situations, including mental health emergencies, risk ofharm to self or others, and mandated reporting concerns.Monitor client progress through ongoing sessions, reassessments, and follow-up to ensuretreatment goals are being met.Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including intake assessments,treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with professionaland regulatory standards.Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, case managers, and other membersof the client's care team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.Provide psychoeducation and coping strategies to clients and families to supportlong-term mental health.QualificationsA master's degree in social workRegistration/licensure as a social worker in the State of Michigan required.At least one year direct clinical experience in providing therapy services to youngchildren and their families requiredBenefits and SalarySalary compensated based on experience401(k)Health, dental, and vision insuranceFlexible schedulePaid time offProfessional development assistanceQualifying employer for PSLFApplicationPlease provide a resume and a copy of your degree & licenses.
