You'll work alongside highly respected physicians specializing in cataract, cornea, and anterior segment care in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.This is a unique opportunity to grow your clinical expertise while practicing at the forefront of ophthalmic care, supported by one of the nation's premier eye institutions.What You'll DoProvide comprehensive eye examinations and vision care independentlyConduct post-operative evaluations and collaborate closely with ophthalmologistsPerform urgent care work-ups and triage patients appropriatelyDiagnose and manage common ocular conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, and macular degenerationFit and manage routine, specialty, and medically necessary contact lenses, including keratoconus and post-corneal transplant patientsUtilize diagnostic testing and interpret findings to guide clinical decision-makingDocument all patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) in compliance with regulatory standardsCoordinate care by preparing referrals and communicating with primary care providers and specialistsPartner with optical and clinical staff to deliver a seamless, high-quality patient experienceWhat We're Looking ForDoctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited programStrong clinical skills with a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered careAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based settingExcellent communication and documentation skillsWillingness to participate in insurance credentialing and adhere to compliance standards (HIPAA, Medicare guidelines, etc.)Schedule & Work-Life BalancePart-time schedule with Mondays and Wednesdays requiredOption to add an additional dayNo evenings, no weekends, and no on-call responsibilitiesCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary plus production-based incentivesProrated benefits based on hours workedSupportive environment that values both your professional growth and personal well-beingPosition Requirements & Education:OD degree from an accredited School of OptometryExperience:Minimum 1 year required.Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and to apply the principles, theories, practices, and techniques of optometric practice, including anatomy, physiology, pathology, and mechanics of the human eye, visual processes, and detailed knowledge of ocular pharmacology and therapeutics.Certification/Licensure:Current Pennsylvania license from the State Board of Optometry.
