Pride Health is hiring Medical Laboratory Scientist - Traveler to support our client's medical facility based in Indianapolis IN 46256. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Title : Medical Laboratory Scientist - TravelerLocation: Indianapolis IN 46256Duration: 8 months+Shift: Night shift 10pm-6:30Am Monday to Friday with rotating weekends and Holidays.Pay rate : $2200-$2451 per weekBlood Bank Experience Required Pay rate is strictly based on years of experience and educational qualifications.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform specimen handling, processing, and analysis following established laboratory proceduresAnalyze and test samples using approved SOPsReview, validate, and release accurate test resultsMaintain compliance with quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) protocolsEnsure adherence to regulatory standards (CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA) and safety guidelinesIdentify and troubleshoot testing issues; implement corrective actions when neededMaintain proper documentation of all lab activities, calibrations, and maintenanceHandle STAT and critical result reporting efficientlySupport inspections, audits, and training initiativesMaintain lab organization, reagent tracking, and overall department standardsQualificationsEducation:BS in Medical Technology (preferred) ORBS/BA in Chemistry or Biology ORAssociate degree in Laboratory Science/Medical TechnologyEligible for or holding certification (ASCP / AMT preferred)Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, QC/QA, and multiple lab disciplinesProficiency in computer systems and laboratory softwareExperienceMinimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience (high-complexity testing preferred)Blood Bank experience is required??
