Could possibly go perm. the schedule is: M - F 5:00am - 2:30 PM Must have Histo Tech Certification and experience!!Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Histotechnologist to join our healthcare team in Plano, TX. This role involves performing a wide range of clinical and research laboratory procedures to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and scientific investigations. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive laboratory experience, including specimen collection, processing, and analysis, while demonstrating a strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and pathology. Key Responsibilities:Collect and process various biological specimens using aseptic techniques to ensure sample integrityPerform routine laboratory tests and procedures in accordance with established protocolsPrepare samples for analysis, including staining, and microscopyMaintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and proper functioningFollow strict safety and infection control standards to uphold aseptic techniquesSupport patient care activities by understanding medical terminology and physiological conceptsCollaborate with medical staff to interpret laboratory findings relevant to patient diagnosisEnsure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance standardsQualificationsPrior experience in clinical histology laboratories is required; hospital experience is a mustKnowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pathology, and laboratory proceduresHands-on experience with phlebotomy and specimen handling protocolsFamiliarity with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration processesStrong understanding of vital signs measurement and aseptic techniquesAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare teamExcellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracyIf you are committed to advancing healthcare through precise laboratory work and research excellence, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity in Plano.
