Pride Health is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician to support our client's medical facility based in New York, NY 10016. This is a 13-week assignment with a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Job Title: Ophthalmic TechnicianLocation: New York, NY 10016Hourly W2 pay: $37/hr - $43/hrSchedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM - 4:30 PMStart date: 06/01/2026Responsibilities:Supports ophthalmologists by conducting eye exams, patient prep, and assisting in procedures/surgeries while ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate documentation.Perform vision and eye diagnostic tests (visual fields, ocular motility, color vision, pupil testing, intraocular pressure)Gather patient history and manage patient flowEducate patients on procedures and treatmentsMaintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment (slit lamp, tonometer, keratometer, etc.)Sterilize instruments and assist in minor surgeries, laser treatments, and OR procedures.Requirements:Education: High school diploma or equivalentCertification: Ophthalmic Technician Certification (required)Strong communication skillsPride Global offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.Equal Employment OpportunityPride Health is an equal opportunity employer.
