Medical Assistant

Our cardiology office is currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant who can deliver exceptional patient care and provide excellent service to all visitors. We require someone with outstanding customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a team-oriented approach. You must also be able to multitask while maintaining high levels of organization and professionalism at all times. While it's not mandatory, fluency in Spanish is preferred. Join our team and help us provide top-quality care to our patients.Duties will include:Rooming patientsTaking and/or obtaining vital signsEKGs,Set up a chart in EMR-Electronic Medical RecordsHolter and Event MonitorsPrepare and organized exam roomsStock and maintain rooms with adequate suppliesCheck patient's medical records for pertinent dataGreets and escorts patients to exam roomsMaintain sample medication closetRespond to patient callsAssist with exams, tests, and special procedures as directedScheduling appointments,Setup for proceduresAssist providers with patient exams and proceduresCallbacks,Prescription refillsPrescription prior authorizationInspect exam rooms for cleanliness and equipment conditionThe candidate must have the following skills and experience:At least 1-year experience in cardiac careMA Certification from an accredited school.X-Ray Tech with BMO Certificate is preferred, but not required.EMR experience requiredWell-organized and detail-oriented, while applying sound judgment and decision-makingTeam player attitude and willingness to make active contributions to the teamEMD's experience is preferred but not requiredStrong Computer and Typing Skills, including Word and ExcelExcellent customer service skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalKnowledge of regulations that govern Medical offices, including HIPAA and OSHA.
