Review our website at to learn more about us.Job OverviewWe are looking for an Associate Veterinarian to work a regular 1-2 days/week. This position could lead to a full-time role as the practice continues to expand, but is not a requirement. It will allow you to grow with us and be part of something new and exciting, in one of Long Island's most beautiful communities.As an Associate, you will have the opportunity to spend quality time with clients and patients, develop deep relationships with owners and provide a high level of care. You will collaborate with and learn from the senior medical director to provide the best outcomes for patients.Key Responsibilities:Perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in small animalsPrescribe medications, recommend treatment plans, and perform surgeries and dental procedures as neededCommunicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and preventative careMaintain accurate and thorough medical records in accordance with hospital policyCollaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality patient careAdhere to all veterinary medical standards, legal regulations, and hospital protocolsQualifications:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary schoolLicensed to practice in the state of New YorkStrong clinical skills and diagnostic abilitiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with a teamPrior experience preferredBenefits:Employee discountFlexible scheduleProfessional development assistance401(k)
